Screen workstation G37

It is known that a not insignificant part of the population – 30 to 40 per cent as reported by ophthalmologists – has insufficient or insufficiently corrected vision. This can also have health impacts in the workplace. This is partly due to the decreasing ability for accommodation with age. Visual impairment of any kind, as well as the lack of adequate provision in terms of work equipment, work procedures, workplace and the workplace environment, in particular lack of lighting, lead to increased visual stresses and discomfort in the musculoskeletal system. Consequences may include headaches, burning and watery eyes as well as flickering in the eyes (asthenopic complaints). If insufficient vision is identified, visual acuity should be optimised by wearing spectacles that are suitable for the workplace. However, special precautions must be taken at the screen workstation in order to avoid over-exertion of the eyes. This applies both to the establishment and to the use of the workplace. Take the opportunity to have your eyes examined in order to identify and treat visual defects in time.
